Hot Girl Yogurt, Red Lobster's Endless Crab, and St. Patrick's Day recipes!

It’s the weekend before St. Patrick’s Day and I am doing a LOT of cooking. I’ll get to all of that later, first some food news.

Hot Girl Yogurt

TikTok is claiming that just two tablespoons a day of Coconut Cult Yogurt will make you hotter than you’v ever been. At 38 dollars a jar, it better.

Not only does it help with digestion, it can reduce bloating and clear up your skin as well, according to people who love it. What’s it secret? A lot of probiotics. And I mean a lot.

Founded in 2015 by Noah Simon-Waddell, he said in a 2022 TikTok video. “I created this yogurt as a part of my healing journey, as a way to heal myself and my gut, which was really sick.”

Simon-Waddell began making probiotic yogurt at home, and landed upon his miracle cure. His next step was to share out with the masses, and it was a hit.

This yogurt is very ‘alive’ so you really don’t want to pound a whole jar or you will not be feeling particularly hot. I will definitely try it and report back.

Not Hot Pot

Hot pot chain, Haidilao, is in hot water after two teens were caught urinating in the broth.

The incident happened in a private room at a Shanghai branch of Haidilao on February 24th. The drunk teens stood on top of the table and unloaded into the hot pot of broth. of course they filmed it, and of course the footage went viral.

Th company immediately went into PR crisis mode. “We fully understand that the distress caused to our customers by this incident cannot be fully compensated for by any means,” Haidilao said in a statement. “We are willing to do our utmost to take responsibility.”

Shanghai police confirmed that two 17-year-old men, identified by their surnames, Tang and Wu, have been placed in administrative detention. Haidilao has also filed a civil lawsuit against them.

"As management had never made contingency plans or given training for dealing with this type of incident, staff at our branch were unable to detect any abnormalities at the scene or uphold the safety of the dining environment."

While the restaurant chain has not disclosed the exact compensation amount, it has offered refunds to all customers who dined at the branch between 24 February and 8 March.
